Overview

For nearly two decades, I have worked with the production of digital publications, ebooks, learning materials, and other long-form content. My role has covered the entire production process – from manuscript preparation and layout design to final PDF and EPUB delivery.

Working closely with authors, editors, and internal stakeholders, I have helped ensure that the content follows our design guidelines and is delivered with a high quality standard both visually and in terms of accessibility requirements.

The challenge

Producing high-quality digital publications requires balancing visual design, readability, technical standards, and production efficiency.

Each publication must:

Accessibility & standards

As accessibility requirements became increasingly important, I participated in optimising publication workflows to support accessible PDF and EPUB files.

This included working with document hierarchy, tagging, navigation, reading order, and export settings to improve usability and compliance.
