Live streaming & webinar production

The challenge

Since 2021, I have produced more than 200 live webinar sessions, managing technical delivery, post-production, and multilingual distribution.

The programme required maintaining a professional production standard without a dedicated broadcast team while delivering up to 6-8 live sessions per month across multiple subject areas and speakers – in both English and German.

Additional challenges included:

• maintaining technical stability during live broadcasts
• supporting multilingual content distribution
• managing subtitle generation and translation workflows
• scaling production processes over several years of continuous delivery

The solution

I established and managed a complete production workflow covering pre-production, live delivery, post-production, and multilingual distribution.

Each session involved three participants: a host, an external subject-matter expert, and myself in the producer role managing the technical production and live delivery.

The workflow included:

• host and speaker onboarding
• technical preparation and production planning
• live production using OBS Studio and NDI feeds
• RTMP streaming to the learning platform
• producer responsibilities including Q&A management, timing, and technical coordination
• recording processing and publishing
• subtitle generation and AI-assisted translation

The production environment evolved continuously through workflow optimisation, process documentation, automation tools, and platform evaluations.
